General information

Carolina Stars is a year round facility!

(We run classes and team programs throughout the entire year!)

YOU ARE ENROLLED IN CLASS UNLESS YOU TELL US OTHERWISE.

All drops must be in writing.  Drop slips must be submitted by the 15th of the current month to avoid charges for the next month.  (Drop notices may also be emailed to carolinastarsgymnastics@yahoo.com.) 

Make ups must be scheduled in advance through the office.  All recreational students are allowed to make up one missed class per month.  (There are no make ups for preteam/team members.) Make up classes will expire two months after the recorded absence. Make up classes are reserved for current students only.

All students must have a current and active credit card on file.  Cash payments must be received by the 20th of the current month to avoid having your credit card charged for the next month's tuition.  All balances will be charged to the card on file.  (We do not accept check payments.)

A late fee of $25 will be applied to all accounts with an open balance as of the 1st of the month.

Students should wear a leotard with no skirt or a t-shirt and shorts.  All shirts must be fitted or tucked in.  For safety reasons, we do not allow midriff showing attire, skirts, socks or fitted tights.  Please remove jewelry before class.  Stud earrings are acceptable.  Hair must be pulled back during class time.  Students should wait at the designated door to be called into class.  Only gymnastics participants are allowed into the preschool and big gyms.

We will continue to use some Covid-19 modifications.  Modifications are outlined below.  Please continue to check our website for Covid procedure updates.  Changes are being made in accordance with local and state recommendations.

• Masks are optional at this time.  
• Observation and seating are back to capacity.  We are still encouraging dropping off and picking up at this time in order to help us keep our distance.
• Please take your child's temperature before coming to class.  If your child has a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, please do not come to class.  We will schedule a make up class.
• Class sizes are back to normal size. 
• Staff will sanitize frequently.
• Staff will be observing students during class.  Should a student show signs of illness (coughing, shortness of breath, chills, etc.), he/she will be isolated from the class, and a parent will be contacted.
• If your child is sick or potentially exposed to Covid-19, please do not come to class.  We will arrange a make up class.
• Water fountains are now open for use.  Recreational and team students may continue to bring water bottles (water only) into the gym area during class.  Preschool students will not get a drink during class.
• Visual aids such as dots, stars and velcro lines will be used to help keep the children spaced apart.  Bars and beams are already separated,.
• Coaches will be spotting children.  Safety is our main concern.  We do not feel that we can safely teach gymnastics skills without spotting the children.
• We know we cannot fully eliminate the spread of any virus, but we feel that we can create a safe environment using these updated guidelines.
